The Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development in convergence with Department of Education extended a warm welcome to Ms. Kamal Sisodiya, Commandant 13 BN CRPF and the team of 61 women bikers of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who commenced their journey from Srinagar on October 3, 2023, and this CRPF Women Bikers Expedition 2023 will be concluded at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on October 31, 2023.
The brave women bikers of CRPF exhibited unwavering dedication to the cause of women’s empowerment through this incredible journey. The expedition was extended a heartwarming welcome at Post Graduate Government College for Girls in 42, Chandigarh on October 13, 2023.
The event was chaired by worthy Home Secretary, Mr. Nitin Yadav, IAS in esteemed presence of the Mr. Vinay Pratap Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner; Dr. Palika Arora, PCS, Director Social Welfare; Mr. Amandeep Singh Bhatti, PCS, Director Higher Education; SDMs ( East & South) alongwith other officers/ officials of Chandigarh Administration. They honoured these incredible women for their dedication and resilience in promoting women’s empowerment with token of appreciation.
Furthermore, the students of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 42 Chandigarh showcased their support and enthusiasm by organizing captivating cultural events. These performances echoed the spirit of empowerment and promoted a powerful message of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
Later the evening, the Women Bike Expedition reached Sukhna Lake where the Education Department welcomed by display of Band followed by nukkad natak by school students. The expedition was formally flagged off from Sukhna Lake Chandigarh by distinguished chief guest Dr Pallika Arora, PCS, Director Social Welfare. This marked a symbolic moment in the journey as the bikers continued their quest to spread the message of women’s empowerment to all corners of the nation.
The CRPF Women Bike Expedition 2023 has been a testament to the strength and determination of these incredible women who have embarked on a journey to empower and inspire others.
