RCB bowlers and batsmen were complete flops against LSG

The RCB team comes on the field with a new enthusiasm in every season of IPL, but in the very beginning the team gets so many defeats that the team goes on the backfoot. RCB team has suffered another defeat. Even in IPL 2024, the team has suffered 3 defeats in 4 matches.

Yesterday, in the match played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB was defeated by LSG by 28 runs and captured the match. RCB has suffered its second defeat of the season at its own home. LSG batted first and scored 181 runs in 20 overs losing 5 wickets. In response, the entire RCB team could score only 153 runs in 19.2 overs.

In this match, first the bowlers and then the batsmen proved to be a complete flop, the result of which was that the team could not even play the full 20 overs. From LSG side, Mayank Yadav’s pace troubled RCB batsmen the most. This bowler created a stir by taking 3 wickets and ultimately led the team to victory. Mahipal Lomror scored the highest 33 runs for RCB.

Both of them gave a good start to the team and made a partnership of 53 runs for the first wicket. De Kock looked in great form during this period, but Rahul became the victim of Glenn Maxwell after scoring 20 runs in 14 balls.</p><p>After this, Devdutt Padikkal came to the crease, but he too was caught out after scoring only 6 runs on the ball of Mohammad Siraj. The team had lost 2 wickets on the score of 73. However, from the other end, De Kock continued his attack and kept moving the scoreboard further. During this period, Marcus Stoinis supported him a lot. Together they took the team’s score to 129 runs, but Stoinis kept walking on Maxwell’s ball. He scored 24 runs on 15 balls.</p><p>After this, Nicholas Pooran came to support De Kock at the crease and both the batsmen started scoring runs rapidly. Together they took the team score to 143 runs, but Reece Topley dismissed De Kock for 81 runs. He scored 81 runs on 56 balls. In his innings he hit 8 fours and 5 sixes. From the other end, Nicholas Puran also scored a total of 40 runs in 21 balls with the help of 1 four and 5 sixes.</p><p>Thus, in this match the team lost 5 wickets in 20 overs and scored a total of 181 runs. On behalf of RCB, Reece Topley took 1 wicket, Yash Dayal took 1 wicket, Mohammad Siraj took 1 wicket and Glenn Maxwell took 2 wickets. What was expected from the RCB team was to chase the target of 182 runs.</p><p>Looking at the start of RCB, it seemed that the team would overcome it easily. Team captain Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli, who came in the opening, also gave a similar start to the team and together they took the team’s score to 40 runs. But Manimaran Siddharth gave the team its first success by taking the wicket of Virat Kohli. However, on the total score of 42, the team suffered the biggest blow when captain Faf du Plessis was run out.</p><p>RCB fans expected from Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell that this batsman would do something amazing and lead the team to victory, but it did not happen. Mayank Yadav, who bowled the fastest ball of the season, shook the RCB batsmen by dismissing Maxwell. Maxwell returned to the pavilion without opening the account. The team’s third wicket fell at 43. RCB’s top order was completely disintegrated.</p><p>After this Mayank Yadav made Cameron Green his next victim and clean bowled him. Green scored 9 runs. RCB team was completely on the back foot. The team now had to score 119 runs on 60 balls, but at the score of 94, half the team returned to the pavilion when Anuj Rawat also failed. He became the victim of Stoinis after scoring 11 runs in 21 balls. RCB team was now on the verge of defeat and the team needed a miracle.</p><p>Mayank Yadav’s pace was overshadowing the RCB team. This bowler gave the team the sixth success in the form of Rajat Patidar and left them out for 29 runs. The team now had to score 79 runs on 36 balls to win. Now Mahipal Lomror and Dinesh Karthik came to the crease as impact players. Lomror showed some good shots and raised hopes of RCB fans. But here there were less balls and more runs.</p><p>RCB team was gradually getting closer to the target and in the end the team had to score 46 runs in 19 balls. But then Naveen Ul Haq established Lucknow’s dominance in the match by dismissing Dinesh Karthik. After this Mayank Dagar came and continued walking without opening the account. In the end, on the score of 138, Lomror was also out after scoring 38 runs on 13 runs and the whole team collapsed on 153 runs and lost the match by 28 runs. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated a two-day 'Maitree' programme of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) Alumni (Decadal Chapter of 90s) here today. He also inaugurated the International Chapter of 'Maitree'. The Chief Minister also recalled his University days which helped him building edifice of his political career. He assured that the State Government would explore the possibilities of conducting Students Central Association (SCA) elections in HPU and the discussions were being held with the University authorities in this regard. The government was working to make Himachal a self-reliant state and numerous steps were being taken to improve the quality of education in all the government-run institutions. The government has initiated English medium in government schools starting from class one. Apart from this, Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding Schools were coming up in all 68 assembly constituencies of the state in a phased manner which would provide state-of-the-art facilities to the students. He said that the Government mulls to bring innovative changes in the higher education sector based on modern teaching technologies so that every student could derive maximum benefit out of it. He also urged the students be noble and responsible citizens of the country and always be good to others. Keeping in mind to make Himachal Pradesh economically stable, the Government has adopted zero-tolerance towards corruption. When we came to power the economic condition of the State was in complete mess because of the huge debt burden inherited from the previous government and we had to take some tough decisions to bring back the derailed economy on track by generating income from the existing resources. We have set a target to make Himachal Pradesh the most prosperous state by the year 2032", he remarked. The Chief Minister also detailed about the Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray, stating that 4000 orphan children have been adopted as 'Children of the State' and the entire responsibility of their education has being taken by the State Government. A Center of Excellence would be constructed in Tikri of Kandaghat area in District Solan to provide education to about 300 Divyangjans, he remarked. He also announced to provide rupees two crore to the alumni Association for construction their building. He also released three books - 'Juni' by senior journalist Sanjeev Sharma, 'Main Aur Meri HP University' and 'Yadein Buransh Ki'. He also gave away free lifetime membership certificates of HPU alumni to four specially-abled students. MLA Satpal Singh Satti, recalling university days said that though they had different ideologies but Sh. Sukhu was his good friend and both of them learnt the political traits from this prestigious institution. As of today, about 25 student leaders of the university were the members of the present Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He added that many people including Union Minister JP Nadda and former Union Minister Anand Sharma earned fame by achieving great heights in their respective fields. Earlier, President of Alumni Association Prof. Chandramohan Parshira welcomed the Chief Minister and said that the association would adopt Neri of Shimla district for its overall development. Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Singh Thakur, MLA Kewal Singh Pathania, DC Anupam Kashyap and former students of HPU from India and abroad were present at the occasion.
